Second delivery of eight F-16 Block 70 aircraft will be delayed until mid-2030

Defence Minister Dimitar Stoyanov discussed with representatives of Lockheed Martin the implementation of the contract for the second delivery of eight F-16 Block 70 aircraft. The contractor informed about difficulties in the production process, which will lead to a delay in their delivery to Bulgaria until the second quarter of 2030. Initially, they were supposed to be delivered in 2027. The American side specified that the new deadline is not final and that all possible actions will be taken to accelerate production, the Ministry of Defence announced.
