Bulgarian gymnasts won six medals at the World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in Frankfurt - the most medals of any team.
Stiliana Nikolova won a silver medal in the individual all-around and in the ribbon final, took the top spot among the eight finalists in clubs, and secured Bulgaria’s first quota place for participation in the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.

The Bulgarian group, consisting of Rachel Stoyanov, Margarita Vasileva, Magdalina Minevska, Magdalena Valkova, Raya Bozhilova, and Emilia Obretenova, finished sixth in the all-around. However, in the finals, they won bronze medals with both of their routines - with five balls, and with three hoops and two pairs of clubs.
All of our gymnasts also won another silver medal in the team competition.
President Iliana Iotova congratulated our “magical girls,” who once again gave us reason to be proud. “Thank you for the talent, hard work, and strength with which you raised the Bulgarian tricolor to the top of the world,” the head of state said. She emphasized that, after 25 years, Bulgaria once again has an individual world champion “in the person of the incredible Stiliana Nikolova - a delicate girl with an enormous will to win and fighting spirit.”
