Heavy Traffic at Bulgaria's Kalotina and Kapitan Andreevo border crossings

Traffic is heavy at the Kalotina border crossing with Serbia, in both directions for passenger cars, as well as at the Kapitan Andreevo border crossing with Turkey, where there is heavy outbound traffic of freight vehicles, the General Directorate of Border Police reports.
At the border with Romania, traffic is normal at all crossings. Due to the low water level of the Danube, ferry services operating at the Oryahovo-Bechet and Svishtov-Zimnicea border crossings have temporarily suspended operations. Traffic is normal at all crossings along the borders with Greece and North Macedonia.
Over the past 24 hours, there have been 22 serious road accidents in the country, in which two people were killed and 44 injured, the Ministry of Interior reported. In Sofia, there were 11 minor traffic accidents and one serious accident, with three people injured. Since the beginning of August, there have been 376 serious road accidents, resulting in 20 deaths and 467 injuries.
Firefighting teams extinguished 136 fires and responded to 177 incident calls over the past 24 hours, according to the General Directorate for Fire Safety and Civil Protection. One person was injured. A total of 27 rescue and emergency assistance operations were carried out.
