Bulgarian cinema and culture to be showcased at festival in Luxembourg

Bulgaria will be the focus of the CinEast festival of Central and Eastern European cinema, which will take place in Luxembourg in October, the Bulgarian Embassy in Belgium announced on its Facebook page.

The “Focus: Bulgaria” program will present an international audience with a selection of contemporary Bulgarian feature films and documentaries, complemented by short films. The festival will also welcome Bulgarian guests, including established directors and actors.

As part of the special program, Bulgaria will participate with two concerts, a photography project, and a “Bulgarian Evening” combining cinema and culinary traditions.

“This October, we invite you on a journey to a country of extraordinary cinema, captivating polyphonic voices, remarkable photographers, dynamic contemporary art, and beautiful mountain landscapes. Yes - it’s time to (re)discover Bulgaria! Welcome!” the CinEast organizers say.

The focus on Bulgaria is organized with the support of the Bulgarian Embassy in Belgium and the “Gaida” Cultural Club.
