Burgas
Airport can handle up to 21 aircraft movements per hour and
approximately 50,000 passengers per day, which is why a
large-scale infrastructure expansion is not required due to the
contest. However, the number of additional scheduled or charter
flights cannot yet be predicted.
Depending
on the final flight program, the necessary staff, use of the terminal
infrastructure, baggage handling and passenger flow
management will be planned. The airport operator is already in talks
with a wide range of airlines and partners to develop the route
network, attract additional services and increase flight frequencies
in 2027.
The
seaside city will host the contest after Bulgarian singer Dara won
this year's edition. The two semi-finals will be held on May 11 and
13 and the final is on May 15.
