Pamporovo hosts mountain running festival from August 19 to 23

The Pamporovo resort in the Rhodope Mountains will host the Persenk Ultra mountain running festival from August 19 to 23, BTA reported. The sports program includes five competition distances. The Pamporovo Summer Fest will also be held with concerts, theatre performances, children's activities and other events.

The competition routes are 20, 25, 50, 80 and 100 km long and pass through different parts of the Rhodope Mountains. The first start is on August 21 with the Pamporovo Sky Race at 25 km. On the same day, a children's race will also be held in two age groups - from 6 to 9 and from 10 to 13 years old. The start of the longest distance - 100 km, will be given at midnight on August 21 to 22.
