Preparation for Bulgaria’s Presidential election begins

At its meeting today, the government adopted a decision on the preparation and conduct of the elections for President and Vice President of the Republic of Bulgaria, scheduled for October 25, 2026.

The Minister of Innovation and Digital Transformation will be responsible for the organizational and technical preparations for the elections, while the Minister of the Interior will oversee the implementation of activities falling within the remit of the Ministry of the Interior. The Minister of Regional Development and Public Works will coordinate the preparation and publication of the voter lists. The Minister of Foreign Affairs is tasked with organizing the preparation and conduct of the elections abroad.
