Tennis: Aleksander Donski reaches career-high 92nd in doubles

Aleksander Donski has climbed to a 92nd place in the men's doubles world rankings. The Bulgarian Davis Cup player has 947 points in the latest rankings, improving on his previous best of No. 96, reached in June, Sportal.bg reported.

The new career high comes after Donski and New Zealand's Ajit Rai won the Challenger 125 tournament in Quebec, Canada, over the weekend. The tournament had a prize fund of $225,000.

It was the 28-year-old's fifth doubles title at Challenger 125 level and his third this season. Earlier in 2026, Donski won tournaments in New Delhi, India, and Oeiras, Portugal.

Born in the United States to a Bulgarian family, Donski moved to Canada with his family at the age of three. He started playing tennis at five, initially coached by his mother. In 2016, he chose to represent Bulgaria and a year later won the Bulgarian national indoor title.
