DB: Bulgaria’s disengagement from the ‘Coalition of the Willing’ is dangerous

Nadezhda Yordanova, chair of the parliamentary group of the opposition party ‘Democratic Bulgaria’, commented that Bulgaria’s non-participation in today’s Coalition of the Willing meeting in support of Ukraine puts the country at risk.

‘Bulgaria’s refusal to participate in new European formats, such as the “Coalition of the Willing”, poses a risk to the country. Bulgaria has been sidelined from the centre where political decisions on the new security architecture in Europe are being made. In order to be strong and secure and to safeguard our national interests, we must be strong and predictable partners in Europe,” she believes.
