A signal jammer found in Sofia’s Dragalevtsi district had been installed in an SUV and its owner has been identified, Prime Minister Rumen Radev said at a Council of Ministers press conference presenting the justice section of Bulgaria’s 2026–2030 government programme.
“Regardless of whether and how the device was discovered, and regardless of whether and how it interfered with air traffic and various electronic systems in Sofia, there is one indisputable fact: until recently, the police and security services protected these people; now their names are becoming known,” Radev said.
The Prime Minister urged people to call the 112 emergency number if they encounter convoys on the roads or conspicuous displays of private security at restaurants, saying the Interior Ministry was ready to respond.
“We will not allow the days of the mobsters to continue in Bulgaria. They have made a comeback in recent years,” Radev said, as quoted by BTA.
