The 73rd Tour of Bulgaria international cycling race will take riders across the country from August 29 to September 2. Over five days, the route will run from the Black Sea coast to the Balkan Mountains, with the final stage finishing in Troyan.
The opening stage on August 29 will cover 125.2 km from Primorsko to Burgas. Seventeen teams from 11 countries will line up for the race, with riders covering a total of 552.8 km over five stages.
The first international Tour of Bulgaria began on August 21, 1924, when 21 cyclists set off from National Assembly Square in Sofia. They covered 1,917 km in 10 stages before finishing on September 7.
