Apollonia 2026 offers 70 events across the arts in Sozopol

The 42nd Apollonia Festival of Arts will bring 70 events to the Black Sea town of Sozopol from August 27 to September 6, with a programme spanning music, theatre, cinema and literature.

Unlike festivals devoted to a particular art form, Apollonia brings together a broad range of genres. “There will be more than 25 concerts – classical music, jazz, rock and folklore – as well as 10 theatre events, 10 feature films and around 35 literary events,” Margarita Dimitrova, executive director of the Apollonia Foundation, told BNR Burgas.

The festival will officially open at the Apollonia Amphitheatre with Crossroads of Cultures, a performance by singer Nina Nikolina and the Trakia Ensemble.
