Kara In waterfall in Kardzhali region declared a natural landmark

A new protected area, “Waterfall of Creation - Kara In,” has been designated by an order of Environment and Water Minister Rositsa Karamfilova. It has been granted the status of a “Natural Landmark” and is located in the land of Dolna Kula village, Krumovgrad Municipality, Kardzhali Province, the Ministry of Environment and Water said.

The designation aims to protect the remarkable waterfall as an example of inanimate nature featuring distinctive rock formations.

The natural landmark covers an area of 3.02 decares. Activities that could damage or destroy the waterfall’s natural appearance and condition, its distinctive rock formations, or the surrounding area are prohibited within its boundaries.
