Navy destroys drone found off St Ivan Island

A drone has been destroyed in a controlled explosion by the Bulgarian Navy near Sozopol, BNR correspondent Daniela Kostadinova reported.

The drone was spotted in the sea off the islands of St Ivan and St Peter by a group of kayakers. The alert was raised by Georgi Hristov, a licensed kayak tour guide.

After examining the device, the Navy decided to destroy it on the spot for safety reasons, the Defence Ministry said.
