Russian figure skater Egor Rukhin will represent Bulgaria in international competitions, Bulgarian Skating Federation President Hristo Turlakov said, as quoted by TASS.

The 22-year-old won a medal on the ISU Junior Grand Prix circuit in 2021 and became Moscow champion in 2024. In the 2025/26 season, he finished 13th at the Moscow Championships and placed 11th in the opening stage of the Russian Grand Prix in Magnitogorsk.

“I train in Sofia with Andrei Lutai. We are still in the process of deciding which competitions I will enter,” Rukhin confirmed.

Lutai is a former Russian figure skater who moved to Bulgaria after marrying Bulgarian figure skater Ina Demireva in 2010. Demireva is the sister of Albena Denkova, a two-time world champion in ice dancing.
