13-year-old singer Christian Ilkov wins Grand Prix in Italy

Thirteen-year-old Christian Ilkov from Ruse has won the Grand Prix at the international Microfono d’Oro competition in Civitavecchia, Italy, Ruse Municipality said. The competition brings together young performers from different countries, with Ilkov taking the top prize after performing before an international jury. He was also warmly received by the audience.

Following his success, Christian was invited to take part in the final of The Voice Italy – Kids.

His next appearance will bring him on stage with one of his musical idols, Joe Lynn Turner. The two are due to perform together at BEERfest in Stara Zagora on September 3.

The invitation came after the former Rainbow singer heard Christian perform Rainbow’s I Surrender at an event in Ruse.
