Interior Minister Ivan Demerdzhiev to pay working visit to Poland

Bulgaria’s Minister of Interior Ivan Demerdzhiev is to pay a working visit to Poland. His program in Warsaw includes a bilateral meeting with his Polish counterpart, Marcin Kierwiński. Coordination and closer cooperation to ensure the security of the European Union and combat organised crime and cybercrime will be among the key topics of the talks.

The programme also includes a visit to the headquarters of the European Border and Coast Guard Agency, Frontex, and a meeting with its Executive Director, Hans Leijtens. Discussions will cover the protection of the EU’s external borders, combating illegal migration, and the future development of the agency’s capacity and operational capabilities.
