Bulgaria reaffirms support for Ukraine at EU Defence Ministers’ meeting

A Bulgarian delegation led by Deputy Minister of Defence Lyubomir Monov took part in the informal meeting of EU defence ministers, held on August 31 and September 1 in Wicklow, Ireland.

Speaking at the meeting, Lyubomir Monov said that since the beginning of Russia’s aggression, Bulgaria has provided consistent support to Ukraine across all areas and reaffirmed the country’s commitment to joint European efforts to achieve a just and lasting peace.

“We believe that every available tool should be used to bring the war to an end and reach an agreement through negotiations ”, Lyubomir Monov said, as quoted by the Ministry of Defence.
