Traffic is heavy at the Kapitan Andreevo checkpoint on the border with Türkiye, in the outbound lane for trucks, the General Directorate Border Police said. Traffic is normal at all border crossings with Greece, North Macedonia and Romania. Ferry services at the Oryahovo–Bechet and Svishtov–Zimnicea border crossings remain suspended due to low water levels in the Danube River. The Bulgarian ferry operating the Silistra–Călărași border crossing is also out of operation due to a technical problem.

One person died and 27 were injured in road accidents over the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Interior said. In Sofia, there were 27 minor and two serious road accidents, in which two people were injured. Since the beginning of the year, 4,516 road accidents have been registered, resulting in 312 fatalities and 5,602 injuries.

A total of 112 fires were extinguished over the past 24 hours, the Directorate General Fire Safety and Civil Protection said. Four people were injured. Twenty-six of the fires caused direct material damage, including 13 in residential buildings. Fire crews responded to 146 emergency calls.
