Bulgaria remains among EU countries with the lowest unemployment rates in July

Bulgaria’s unemployment rate remained among the lowest in the European Union in July, despite a slight increase from the previous month, according to Eurostat data.

The unemployment rate in Bulgaria rose to 3.6% from 3.5% in June, placing the country fifth among EU member states with the lowest unemployment rates.

Year on year, unemployment in Bulgaria fell by 0.2 percentage points, from 3.8% in July last year. 107,000 people were unemployed in July, 1,000 more than in June but 7,000 fewer than in July 2025.
