Heavy traffic at the Kapitan Andreevo border crossing

Traffic is heavy at the Kapitan Andreevo border crossing with Türkiye for inbound passenger cars and outbound trucks, the General Directorate Border Police said. Traffic is normal at all border crossings with Romania, Greece, Serbia and North Macedonia.

Thirty-one people were injured in 19 serious road accidents across the country in the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Interior reported. In Sofia, four serious and 21 minor road accidents occurred, with four people injured. Since the beginning of the month, 46 road accidents have been registered, resulting in 2 fatalities and 57 injuries.

A total of 117 fires were extinguished over the past 24 hours, the Directorate General Fire Safety and Civil Protection said. One person was injured. Firefighting teams responded to 156 incident reports and carried out 34 rescue and assistance operations.
