Temperatures continue to drop, brief showers expected in some areas

During the night, cloud cover will temporarily increase from west to east, with showers in some places, mainly in central Bulgaria. Light west-northwesterly winds will blow in Northwestern Bulgaria, while winds along the Black Sea coast will be from the north. Friday will be mostly sunny. Brief showers and thunderstorms are expected in places across central and eastern Bulgaria, as well as in the mountains of southwestern Bulgaria. Northerly winds will strengthen, bringing cooler air. Maximum temperatures will range from 27°C to 32°C, around 27°C in Sofia.

Along the Black Sea coast, it will be mostly sunny, with scattered high and cumulus clouds. Showers and thunderstorms are possible in some areas. Winds will be light to moderate from the north-northwest, shifting to east-northeast in the afternoon. Daytime highs will range from 26°C to 29°C. The seawater temperature is 24°C-26°C. Sea state 1 to 2 on the Beaufort scale.

In the mountains, it will be mostly sunny, with cumulus clouds developing around and after midday. Brief showers and thunderstorms are possible in places in the mountain ranges of southern Bulgaria and the central and eastern Balkan Mountains. Winds will be moderate to strong from the north-northwest. Maximum temperatures will be around 21°C at an altitude of 1,200 metres and around 13°C at 2,000 metres.
