From September 7 to 13, Sofia’s Vitosha Boulevard and the park in front of the National Palace of Culture will once again bring together readers, writers and publishers. More than 150 publishing houses are taking part in the 2026 edition of the “Book Alley – Sofia”. The “Book Alley – Sofia” is one of the largest book events in the country and traditionally transforms the heart of the capital city into a meeting place for writers and readers.
Over seven days, visitors will be able to discover new and favourite books for all ages and interests and meet dozens of Bulgarian authors in person. The Book Alley will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., while the accompanying cultural programme will feature book launches and presentations, literary discussions, author signing sessions, events for children and a range of creative activities.
