TheatAir 2026 finale brings artists from 5 countries to Plovdiv city center

The international street arts festival TheatAir 2026 concludes today, September 7, in Plovdiv with free performances and a parade featuring giant puppets.

The program starts at 7:30 p.m. in the city center, at the Kamenitsa Steps, with “Acrobatic Duo” by Greece’s AcroKuku. At 8:00 p.m., Argentine performer Emanuel Garcia will present “Cyr Wheel” at the fountain in front of Plovdiv Municipality. At the same time, a parade of giant puppets will set off from the Roman Stadium.

From 8:30 p.m., audiences in front of the Central Post Office will see a vertical dance performance by Ireland’s Ria Murphy, the show “Nekawa Awaken” by Bulgaria’s Fireter, and traditional live music by Brazilian performer Cris Miguel.
