Bulgarians in Connecticut to celebrate Unification Day on September 12

Bulgarians in the US state of Connecticut are marking Unification Day today, September 6, while their community celebration will take place on September 12. On that day, Bulgarian Cultural Center in CT-Rоden Krai will hold its traditional “BG and Friends” gathering at Putnam Memorial State Park in the town of Redding.

The event will begin at 1:00 p.m. local time, with a group photo scheduled for 4:00 p.m. Organizers are inviting guests to wear Bulgarian traditional costumes and bring food to share at the communal table.

Food will also be prepared and sold at the event, with the proceeds supporting the Bulgarian school and future events organized by the Bulgarian Cultural Center in CT-Rоden Krai.
