Busy morning for trucks heading into Türkiye at Kapitan Andreevo

Truck traffic heading out of Bulgaria towards Türkiye was heavy at the Kapitan Andreevo border crossing on Tuesday morning, Border Police said. Conditions were normal at all other crossings with Greece, North Macedonia, Serbia and Romania.

On the Sofia-Pernik road, the section from the Vladaya turn-off to Vladaya railway station will be restricted between 11 am and 1 pm while a road safety inspection is carried out. Vehicles will instead be directed through the village, the Road Infrastructure Agency said.

The agency is also urging drivers to take extra care on the Hemus, Trakia and Struma motorways, where maintenance work is under way, and to follow the temporary road signs.
