Chinese company expands automotive parts plant near Plovdiv

Chinese company ZS Europe has expanded the production capacity of its high-tech automotive components plant near Plovdiv. The company is part of Shanghai Unison Aluminium Products. The production facility manufactures aluminum components for leading global automotive manufacturers. The new production capacity is a continuation of the first phase of the investment, which was completed in 2025.

At the opening ceremony, Prime Minister Rumen Radev said the investment is a testament to the high regard for the government’s efforts to transform the country’s economic development model—from growth based on the redistribution of consumption and cheap labor to a much more effective model based on attracting investment, increasing productivity and high-tech manufacturing with high added value.
