Heavy truck traffic at the Bulgaria-Türkiye border

Traffic is heavy for outbound trucks at the Kapitan Andreevo border crossing toward Türkiye, the Border Police said. Traffic is normal at all other border crossings and checkpoints toward Greece, North Macedonia and Serbia. Due to the low water level of the Danube, the ferry crossings between Bulgaria and Romania at Oryahovo–Bechet and Svishtov–Zimnicea remain closed. Traffic on the Danube Bridge 1 and Danube Bridge 2 at Ruse and Vidin is running smoothly.

Two people died in road accidents over the past 24 hours. Twenty people were injured in 15 serious traffic accidents, the Traffic Police said. Since the beginning of the month, 10 people have died in road accidents and 225 have been injured. Since the beginning of the year, 323 people have lost their lives in road accidents, while 5,801 have been injured.
