71% of Bulgarians intend to vote in the presidential election, according to a poll by Gallup International conducted for the Bulgarian National Television program “Referendum”. One in five respondents (22%) are undecided. Only 7% of those surveyed are certain that they will not go to the polls on October 25.
56% believe that the personality of the presidential candidate is more important than the public figures supporting them. For 40% of respondents, it is very important who stands behind the presidential candidacy. 5% are undecided.
60% of respondents said they would vote for a candidate from another party if the political formation they support does not nominate or back a presidential candidate. One-quarter of respondents said they would not vote in such a scenario, while 16% are undecided.
