Orthodox Bulgarians in Luxembourg will celebrate their first Divine Liturgy in their new church on September 12, the St Ivan of Rila Bulgarian Orthodox Church Community said.

The church, dedicated to St Lucy, is in Hassel, in the municipality of Weiler-la-Tour, and has been made available by the local Catholic community.

The first liturgy will mark the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, known in Bulgaria as Krastovden. To mark the beginning of the new school year, a service of thanksgiving will also be held for the health and success of pupils, university students, teachers and lecturers.
