Traffic is heavy for outbound trucks at the Kapitan Andreevo and Lesovo border checkpoints, the Border Police reported. Traffic at the border crossings and checkpoints with Greece, North Macedonia, Serbia and Romania is proceeding normally.

Border Police also reminded travelers that a protest is planned for September 14. Truck drivers from Serbia, North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Türkiye are expected to stage another protest over the strict rules governing stays in the Schengen Area. They plan to block traffic at border crossings with EU countries, including the Kapitan Andreevo–Kapıkule crossing on the Bulgaria- Türkiye border.

Meanwhile, on September 13 and 14, military personnel and equipment from Türkiye will cross Bulgaria en route to Romania, the Ministry of Defense warned. The military convoys will be escorted by teams from the Military Police Service.
