Bulgaria celebrates its Independence

There are dates in Bulgaria’s history that completely altered the course of our development and restored our dignity as an equal European nation.

One of the events of this magnitude took place in Tarnovo: on September 22, 1908, Bulgaria proclaimed its independence there, putting an end to the last remaining vassal ties with the Ottoman Empire.
