Bulgarian Air Force exercise temporarily closes zones over Black Sea

The
Bulgarian Air Force has issued a warning regarding large danger zones
due to live-fire exercises targeting aerial targets in the northern
Bulgarian sector of the Black Sea.
"From
September 16 to 18, 2026, Air Force crews will conduct flights
involving live-fire engagements against aerial targets at the Shabla
anti-aircraft training range," an official statement reads.
"The
Air Force Command announces the activation of danger zones in the
airspace above the range and the adjacent waters and territorial sea
- bounded by Cape Kaliakra, Cape Kartalburun, and a line running
parallel to the coastline at a distance of 100 km - on September 16
and 17 (from 11:00 to 18:00 and 20:00 to 02:00 local time) and on
September 18 (from 11:00 to 18:00)," the Air Force specified.
