"We are such stuff as dreams are made on," Shakespeare wrote. It is precisely along this fragile boundary between dream and reality, between magic and truth, that the theatrical production “Magic for the Tempest” (based on Shakespeare’s “The Tempest”) unfolds. Directed by Viviana di Bert, it is original and energetic and keeps the audience constantly engaged. "Since September 15, the production has been part of the repertoire at Teatro Tordinona in Rome - a stage where Shakespeare’s world continues to connect with contemporary audiences in a vivid, immediate, and impactful way," Veneta Nenkova, head of Parallel 43 Association in Rome, told Radio Bulgaria.
The role of Miranda is played by Bulgarian actress and playwright
Silviya Stanoeva - an artist whose name has been associated with
terms like "theatrical discovery" and "undeniable
talent" since her student days. Early in her professional
career, she attracted critical attention and earned acclaim for her
striking stage presence.

Together
with actor Ivo Zhelev, Stanoeva won the Ikar Award for Best Debut for
her role in Kasiel Noah Asher’s production „Claire/ Madame/
Solange“. For the same role she was also nominated for the Stoyan
Kambarev Foundation Award, marking further recognition of her
powerful presence early in her professional career.
Her
acting talent has also gained recognition outside
Bulgaria. For her roles in the productions „Julius
Caesar“ and „Nirvana“, Silviya Stanoeva received an award for
outstanding acting presence at the GATS Theatre
Festival
in China.

Her
artistic journey continues in Rome, where in recent years Silviya
Stanoeva has successfully found
a place
within the Italian capital's diverse theater scene. Her participation
in “Magic for
the Tempest” marks yet another encounter between Bulgarian artistic
talent and the international stage, serving as a bridge between
different cultures and theatrical traditions.
