Hello and welcome to Bulgaria Today, the English-language podcast of Radio Bulgaria, on September 18 hosted by Rositsa Petkova.
Coming up, we’ll bring you the latest news from Bulgaria.
In our feature, we turn to one of the great names of 20th-century Bulgarian music, composer Lyubomir Pipkov, and one of his most poignant choral works, Nani mi, nani, Damyancho, inspired by the simplicity and emotional depth of Bulgarian folk poetry.
And, of course, we’ll round off the programme on a musical note with a performance by the BNR Folk Music Orchestra.
Stay with us!
