Kapitan Andreevo and Lesovo busy with Türkiye-bound trucks

Truck traffic is extremely heavy out of Bulgaria at the Kapitan Andreevo and Lesovo crossings with Türkiye, the Border Police said.

Traffic is normal along the Greek border, where cars up to 3.5 tonnes can also cross at Rudozem, Zlatograd, Makaza and Ivaylovgrad. Ilinden, Kulata and Kapitan Petko Voyvoda are open to cars, buses and trucks.

All crossings with Romania, Serbia and the Republic of North Macedonia are operating normally.

Over the past 24 hours, firefighters across Bulgaria extinguished 162 fires, with one fatality reported. Sixteen caused material damage, including four in residential buildings. Crews responded to 202 emergency calls in total.
