Cooler weather with scattered showers

Changeable cloud and scattered showers are forecast over the next 24 hours, with moderate northwesterly winds. Lows will mostly be between 5°C and 10°C, higher on the Black Sea coast, and highs between 17°C and 22°C. Sofia will see around 7°C in the morning and 17°C during the day.

The mountains will be mostly cloudy, with light rain in places and snow above 2,000 metres. Moderate to strong north-northwesterly winds are expected. Temperatures will reach around 10°C at 1,200 metres and 2°C at 2,000 metres.

The Black Sea coast will see variable cloud, with light rain possible mainly in the south and moderate to temporarily strong north-northwesterly winds. Highs will be 19°C to 21°C, sea temperatures 22°C to 24°C, with waves of 2 to 3 on the Beaufort scale.

Thursday will be brighter, with sunshine developing across many areas as the wind eases. Lows will again be mostly between 5°C and 10°C, falling lower in some northern and western valleys, where light frost is possible. Highs will rise to 19°C to 24°C.
