Vazrazhdane leader Kostadin Kostadinov enters presidential race

Vazrazhdane has nominated its leader Kostadin Kostadinov as its candidate in Bulgaria’s presidential election on October 25. MEP and long-time Bulgarian National Radio journalist Petar Volgin will stand as the party’s candidate for vice president.

The two candidacies were announced at the Independence Pyramid in Veliko Tarnovo during celebrations marking 118 years since Bulgaria declared independence.

Kostadinov said a Vazrazhdane survey of 16,000 Bulgarians showed that people wanted the country’s politicians to love Bulgaria.
