Cloudy and cool with rain in the west, warmer and dry in the east

On Friday, lows will range from 6°C to 14°C, with around 7°C in Sofia. Western Bulgaria will remain cloudy during the day, while elsewhere cloud will be variable and often considerable. Rain is expected in the northwest before noon, spreading across western Bulgaria in the afternoon. Winds will be light, mainly from the east-southeast, turning northwesterly in the western Danube Plain. Highs will range from 15–16°C in the northwest to 24–25°C in the southeast, with around 18°C in Sofia.

Along the Black Sea coast, it will be mostly sunny with occasional increases in cloud. Light east-southeasterly winds will blow, with highs of 20°C to 23°C. Sea temperatures will be 21–23°C and waves 1–2 on the Beaufort scale.

In the mountains, skies will be mostly cloudy, with rain over the ranges of western Bulgaria and snow above 1,800–2,000 metres. Winds will be moderate to strong from the southeast, turning southwesterly over the highest peaks. Temperatures will reach around 12°C at 1,200 metres and 4°C at 2,000 metres.

On Saturday, it will be mostly cloudy, with rain in many parts of eastern and southern Bulgaria and snow above 2,200 metres in the mountains. North-northeasterly winds will be light to moderate. Lows will range from 7°C to 12°C and highs from 16°C to 21°C.
