"The Dreamed Adventure" wins the 2026 Golden Rose Award

The Grand Prize at the 44th edition of the Golden Rose Bulgarian Feature Film Festival went to the co-production "The Dreamed Adventure" (involving Germany, France, Bulgaria, and Austria).

Director Valeska Grisebach could not attend the ceremony in Varna due to the film's premiere in Germany, but in a video message, she stated that this was the most important award for her and expressed gratitude to the entire team for their work. The film was shot in the region of Svilengrad using non-professional actors.

In its rationale for the award, the jury noted that everything in the film feels genuinely lived-in, creating a world one wishes to inhabit, even though it offers no easy gifts.
