Sofia marks European Day of Languages

Sofia will once again mark the European Day of Languages today, September 26, with an event in the City Garden in front of the Ivan Vazov National Theatre, the European Commission Representation in Bulgaria said.

The event, running from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm, aims to promote linguistic and cultural diversity, foreign-language learning and interest in careers in translation and language teaching, BNR Sofia reported.

Visitors can find out about language courses, cultural programmes and opportunities for study and exchange. The programme also includes book presentations and previews of upcoming cultural events.
