The Ministry of Finance raised its 2026 GDP growth forecast to 3%. This is according to the autumn macroeconomic forecast published on the ministry’s website. The Ministry of Finance’s spring macroeconomic forecast had projected GDP growth of 2.6%.
Bulgaria’s GDP is projected to grow by 2.5% in 2027, 2.4% in 2028 and 2.4% in 2029. By comparison, the spring forecast had projected economic growth of 2.5% next year, 2.5% in 2028 and 2.6% in 2029.
The Ministry of Finance expects average annual inflation to reach 4.8% in 2026, before falling to 4% in 2027. The spring macroeconomic forecast had projected average annual inflation of 4.3% and 3.8% for the two years, respectively.
