Daytime temperatures to rise by 1–2°C as rain eases

On Wednesday, minimum temperatures will range from 8°C to 13°C, around 10°C in Sofia. Cloud will clear over northern Bulgaria, bringing mostly sunny weather. The south will remain largely cloudy, clearing later, with isolated light rain mainly in the southeast. Moderate northeasterly winds will become strong in the east. Highs will range from 19°C to 24°C, around 20°C in Sofia.

The northern Black Sea coast will see variable cloud, while the south will remain mostly cloudy with possible rain. Highs will be 20–22°C and seawater temperatures 21–22°C. The sea will be rough, with waves of up to force 4.

In the mountains of southern Bulgaria, it will remain cloudy with light rain in places and light snow above 2,200 metres. The Balkan Range will be mostly sunny. Strong to gale-force east-northeasterly winds will blow. Highs will be around 14°C at 1,200 metres and 6°C at 2,000 metres.

Thursday will be mostly sunny and calm in western and central Bulgaria. In the east, cloud will increase again, bringing rain and moderate to strong northerly winds. Lows will range from 2–3°C in western and central valleys to 15–16°C on the coast. Daytime temperatures will remain largely unchanged.
