Burgas brings together experts to focus on the Black Sea and blue economy

Burgas will host the annual Black Sea Stakeholder Conference on 30 September. Entitled Regional Cooperation for a Thriving Black Sea, the event will bring together representatives of institutions, academia and business, as well as investors and experts at the International Congress Centre, according to the European Commission’s EU Blue Economy Observatory.

Participants will discuss progress on the Common Maritime Agenda for the Black Sea, new priorities and projects aimed at building a more sustainable and competitive blue economy – economic activities linked to the sea and coastal areas.

The conference will also recognise projects from Bulgaria, Georgia, Moldova, Romania, Türkiye and Ukraine for their contribution to marine ecosystems, sustainable business and investment in the region.

The event will run from 10 am to 6 pm Bulgarian time and will be held in English.
