CEC: Preparations for presidential election proceeding smoothly

Preparations for the presidential and vice-presidential election on 25 October are proceeding smoothly and on schedule. The Central Election Commission (CEC) continues its organisational and technical preparations for the vote in coordination with the other institutions involved, CEC spokesperson Stoyanka Balova-Tsvetkova told a briefing.

The leaderships of the CEC, the Prosecutor’s Office, the Interior Ministry and the State Agency for National Security (SANS) held a working meeting today to coordinate efforts to ensure a lawful, orderly and transparent election process and to prevent possible violations of electoral law.
