Rossen Milanov will conduct Colombia Symphony Orchestra at Carnegie Hall

Bulgarian conductor Rossen Milanov will conduct the Colombia Symphony Orchestra at the prestigious Carnegie Hall in New York, the Consulate General of Bulgaria in the city reports.

The concert, scheduled for 28 October, will mark the orchestra's 75th anniversary.

Rossen Milanov is a Bulgarian conductor with an international career. He is currently music director of the Colombia Symphony Orchestra, the Chautauqua Symphony Orchestra and the Princeton Symphony Orchestra, as well as chief conductor of the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra in Ljubljana.

Since 2022, he has also served as music director of the Princeton Festival, according to his biography published by the Sofia Philharmonic.

Milanov has previously served as music director of the Bulgarian National Radio Symphony Orchestra, the New Symphony Orchestra in Sofia, Symphony in C in New Jersey, and the Orquesta Sinfónica del Principado de Asturias in Spain.

He worked with The Philadelphia Orchestra for 11 years, conducting more than 200 concerts.

He has appeared as a guest conductor with orchestras across the United States, Europe, Asia, South America, Australia and New Zealand, and has shared the stage with artists including Yo-Yo Ma, Itzhak Perlman, Joshua Bell, Renée Fleming and Hilary Hahn.
