Bulgaria submits fifth and final RRP payment request to European Commission

Bulgaria has submitted its fifth and final payment request under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan to the European Commission today, the government said. The request amounts to €1.823 billion.

Bulgaria is reporting the completion of the final 59 milestones and targets linked to key reforms and investments under the plan. These include establishing the new Commission for Counteracting Corruption, introducing integrity tests for civil servants, improving the public procurement system and measures to improve the quality of water supply and sewerage services, BNR reporter Tsvetelina Stoyanova said.

The European Commission will assess the payment request within two months.
