Traffic is heavy at the Kapitan Andreevo and Lesovo border crossings for outbound trucks heading into Türkiye, the Border Police report. Traffic is normal at the other border crossings with Greece, North Macedonia, Serbia and Romania. Due to low water levels on the Danube River, the ferries at Oryahovo–Bechet and Svishtov–Zimnicea are not operating.

On October 1 at 10:30 a.m., traffic on the Trakia Motorway near Chirpan will be temporarily restricted to one lane in the carriageway toward Burgas due to maintenance and the replacement of cameras, the Road Infrastructure Agency announced.

Five people have died in 18 serious road accidents across the country over the past 24 hours, while 19 people were injured, Traffic Police reported. In September, 54 people lost their lives in 671 serious road accidents, with 825 people injured. Since the beginning of the year, the number of people killed in road accidents has reached 367.
