Campaign in Sofia Region highlights EU funding opportunities

How can European funding help local businesses, agriculture, municipalities and civic initiatives? An information campaign will address this question across all municipalities in Sofia Region, an administrative district that does not include the Bulgarian capital.

The Sofia Information Centre is organizing a series of free meetings where citizens, entrepreneurs, local authorities and representatives of various organizations will be able to receive up-to-date information about application opportunities under programmes financed by the European Funds under shared management.

The first meetings will be held in Zlatitsa, Pirdop and Mirkovo.

On October 6 in Zlatitsa, open and upcoming procedures for supporting local businesses and agriculture, improving energy efficiency, as well as projects in the social, educational, and cultural sectors, will be presented.

On October 7 in Pirdop, the focus will be on opportunities for businesses and the green economy, agriculture, energy efficiency and sustainable development, as well as social and educational initiatives.

A meeting is scheduled for October 8 in Mirkovo, the administrative center of the municipality of the same name in Sofia Region, which offers favorable conditions for the development of agriculture, local businesses, and entrepreneurial initiatives.
