Bulgaria to be represented at Frankfurt Book Fair

Bulgaria will be represented with a national stand and a programme at the Frankfurt Book Fair (Frankfurter Buchmesse), which will take place from 7 to 11 October 2026, the Bulgarian Book Association said, as quoted by the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA). The national stand and programme are organised by the Bulgarian Book Association with financial support from Bulgaria’s Ministry of Culture.

Together with the Hellenic Foundation for Books and Culture (HFBC), the association is preparing an event on one of the fair’s official stages, the Dialogue Stage. It will feature Bulgarian writer Rene Karabash, who has been nominated for the International Booker Prize, and Greek writer and translator Christos Asteriou.

The official opening of the Bulgarian national stand will take place on 7 October at 5 p.m. The stand is located in Hall 3.1, Stand B19.
